TOMMY SHERIDAN wants the Scottish Parliament to congratulate Prince Charles for making an honest woman of his "bidie-in" - but extend its sympathy to Camilla Parker Bowles on marrying into a "dysfunctional" family.

The former leader of the Scottish Socialist Party - which believes in an independent, republican Scotland - has tabled a motion on the forthcoming Royal nuptials, which he hopes will be called for debate.
