GLASGOW health chiefs have threatened to sue three MSPs campaigning against the closure of the Queen Mum's.
In an unprecedented bid to silence political critics, the unelected board fired off warning letters to Scottish Socialist Carolyn Leckie, Labour's Pauline McNeill and the SNP's Sandra White.
Health chiefs said they would take legal action against Ms Leckie, a former midwife, if she repeated claims the hospital's west end site could be sold to property developers if it closes.
And they copied their letter to Ms McNeill and Ms White, who had shared a platform with Ms Leckie at a recent public meeting.
Today all three MSPs reacted furiously to the threat of legal action.
