Plan to abolish prescription charges takes step forward

SCOTTISH Socialist Colin Fox’s Bill to abolish prescription charges in Scotland is to be sent out for consultation.
Mr Fox, a Lothians list MSP, has already won cross-party support in the Scottish Parliament for his proposed legislation to end the charges of £6.30 per item, which he has branded a tax on illness.
